Our Mission

Supporting local prescribed burn associations and members in the use of safe and effective fire.

What we do

Education and Training

We provide education and training to members the general public on the principles and practices of prescribed burning.

Advocacy

We advocate for policies and regulations that support the responsible use of prescribed fire and landowners’ rights to use prescribed fire.

Collaboration

We facilitate communication and cooperation among members in planning and conducting prescribed burns.

Safety and Professionalism

We foster a culture of safety and professionalism in all prescribed burning activities.

Resource Sharing

We provide, coordinate, maintain and share resources, including equipment, expertise, and labor, that will improve the safety and effectiveness of member prescribed fire.

Partnerships

We create partnerships with agencies and organizations to further our mission.
